Laminate flooring is also called laminate engineered flooring, and its scientific name: impregnated paper laminated wood flooring. It is based on one or multiple layers of paper impregnated with special thermosetting amino resin pavement on the board, medium density fiberboard (MDF), high-density fiberboard (HDF) and other wood-based panel substrate, the back is balance layer, face is wear-resistant layer, pressing to the flooring.
Laminate flooring is generally divided into four layers: wear-resistant layer, decorative layer, substrate layer and the bottom (also called the equilibrium layer).
A: wear-resistant layer
Surface layer that is the wear-resistant aluminum oxide layer, the wear resistance of the floor depends on the wear resistance of this layer transparent paper. Surface of the paper contains high wear-resistant materials, including aluminum oxide and silicon carbide. Reflect the enhanced wear resistance of the floor, the number of wear-resistant mainly decided by the density of aluminum oxide. In general, the distribution of aluminum oxide is denser and the number of wear-resistant is higher.
B: decorative layer
Decorative layer is actually a computer simulation of the production of printed decorative paper, usually printed on imitation precious wood species or other patterns. Paper is from refined wood and cotton pulp, requiring more than 90 whiteness and water absorption at 25mm/10min. There a certain degree of opacity to cover dark paper color buffer layer and prevent penetration into the lower surface of the resin up. Generally, use with 5% -20% titanium powder, titanium dioxide quantitatively to 100g/m2 paper around.
C: substrate
Substrate density, directly affects the quality of the floor, the density of material should be more than 830 kg / m3. Thickness swelling reflects the product's moisture resistance, the lower, the better of moisture resistant. Substrate thickness swelling need be less 2.5%. Good quality substrate is characterized by very fine materials, high hardness, but not brittle, with no impurities.
D: the bottom layer
The bottom layer is the decorative layer which has a thickness and mechanical strength, standard is kraft paper, the quantification is 60-125 g/m2, paper thickness is between 0.2-0.3mm.
