Bamboo flooring is one of the upcoming materials in today's market. Bamboo flooring is eco-friendly and has many advantages over hardwood flooring. Bamboo is the fastest growing plant. Since bamboo can be re-harvested every 3-5 years it is considered a grass. It is a very strong and elegant material for flooring. Strand woven bamboo is made by compressing "strands" of the bamboo strips under intense pressure, while using a heat-sensitive low VOC adhesive. The bamboo poles are fused under a cold press of 2,500 tons of pressure after they are spilt and shredded into individual strands. The block is sliced into flooring with T+G system and coatings are applied once the curing process is completed.

Conditioning of strand woven bamboo is by soaking it in boric acid. When the cut bamboo is put in containers of boric acid, the live cells start soaking the boric acid making it pest proof in all cells of bamboo. These cut bamboo pieces are then dried after making sure that boric acid has gone through all the cells. Once totally dried, they crash the entire pole and compress the fibers with adhesive.

Strand woven bamboo flooring is available in natural, carbonized and tiger color. The glue used is dynea, European 1 standard with a finishing of Satin Aluminum Oxide enhanced UV-cured urethane with anti-scratch top coat. The density of strand woven bamboo is over 1,100 kg/mᶾ with a hardness of 3000 per Janka scale which is twice the hardness of oak. Through the "woven" process the consistency found in the traditional styles is completely removed and the flooring looks rich and exotic.

For all those people who like strand woven bamboo flooring but also want click lock profile, the click strand woven bamboo flooring is also available. Click strand woven bamboo flooring is the regular strand woven bamboo flooring with a click lock system. The features of click strand woven bamboo flooring are same as regular strand woven bamboo flooring except for its installation process in which floating is recommended whereas in the nail or glue-down installation of regular strand woven bamboo flooring floating is not recommended.

It is most suited for wear requirements of high traffic residential and commercial locations like stores, shopping malls, restaurants, hotels and schools but beautiful enough to be installed in finest homes and apartments.
